Gaurav Saxena, ICC’s general manager for Events and Cricket Operations, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming tournament: “Bringing together five Full Members and five Associate Members will create valuable opportunities for players to test themselves against a wider range of opposition and gain experience in a high-performance environment.” He added, “We look forward to welcoming the participating teams to Ajman for the second edition of the tournament.”
Thailand will go into the competition as the defending champions after securing victory at home in 2025.
