### Title: Pakistan’s ODI Tri-Series Faces Changes as Zimbabwe Withdraws

A planned triangular One-Day International (ODI) series in Pakistan is likely to be reshaped following Zimbabwe’s withdrawal due to commercial concerns. Although both Zimbabwe and Ireland were initially scheduled to participate in this series in January 2027, the focus now turns to a potential bilateral white-ball series between Pakistan and Ireland. An expected home Test match against Ireland appears less likely now, according to insider sources.

A representative from Cricket Ireland conveyed to Cricinfo, “The PCB and Cricket Ireland are currently working through a revised schedule for the tour, and details will be made available shortly.” While efforts were previously directed towards ensuring the tour, shifting priorities now render the possibility of scheduling the test match remote.

Pakistan’s eagerness to engage in more 50-over matches in the lead-up to an ODI World Cup year is evident. They are also preparing for an upcoming tri-series with Sri Lanka and England, along with a five-match series in Bangladesh and another in England the following summer.

Meanwhile, Ireland is gearing up for the World Cup qualifiers slated for February. The forthcoming ODIs against Pakistan stand as a crucial part of their preparation for the World Cup finals planned for October and November, to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

This potential adjustment underscores the dynamic nature of international cricket scheduling, where commercial and logistical factors can significantly influence tour arrangements.
